Please check out the main menu and read a bit before you post. You will find a lot of advice is already available to you in the Psychic School section.
Rules to remember if you are participating on this board:
1. If you have come here to write anything disrespectful about psychics, abilities, reincarnation, beliefs, personal attacks, anything- please go.
2. Remember that there are going to be children reading this board. Don't be mean, don't write to frighten, and don't bring up any subject that is not G rated.
3. We've learned we make the most difference helping everyone if we keep these rules:
First and foremost: BELIEVE RESPONSIBLY!
a. Don't discuss beliefs in de-mons and de-monology, of ANY kind. No discussion of de-mon hunting, binding, lore, hierarchy, names, worship, possession - NONE. If you believe in them, you tend to bring them with you. If you respect everyone here by leaving those beliefs outside the door, we can keep a good energy on this board and keep it safe for kids.
We DO talk about negative entities, we just don't give them names or images. For why, read "Facing The Boggarts, Unfacing the bunnies" in the Psychic School. We have a pet name for them - bunnies. This refers to a joke Chip Coffey once made about "hunting wabbits." We give you neutral ways of dealing with negative and chaotic energies here, and the neutral ways do work, for anyone, of any faith.
b. NO PSYCHIC VAMPIRES. This refers to the pseudo-sexual practice that has been established the past few years. If you are claiming to be one or are recommending this game, leave. Kids are not going to be taught that it is okay to use other people, here. Please read this in the Psychic School on Squidoo: Lose The Psychic Vampire
c. All positive religious and spiritual beliefs are respected here. If you are going to share your beliefs, please write "I feel" "I believe" "I think" when writing about them. Don't advise anyone else that they must have your beliefs in order to solve a problem, and absolutely no Christian or other kind of proselytizing. If you have a negative spiritual belief, Satanism and the like, you will not feel comfortable here.
d. Don't offer free readings and don't ask for free readings. We will have psychic exercises here that can be participated in as a group, but if you want a personal reading, please consult a professional reader.
e. This board is not responsible for any communication made through the private message system. That is private and personal messaging and should be kept private.
We do our best to make sure there is plenty of advice here that can be used by anyone, of any belief system, and of any age.
4. When posting: Don't use caplock, and if you want to use color, this board has been made white so you can use all the colors you want! Just keep an eye out for someone explaining they're color blind.
Please: check your spelling as well as you can, don't write huge long posts, and break your writing up by using punctuation, sentences, and paragraphs so it's readable. This will help you, as well as your readers! It will definitely help me - I'm dyslexic, and going a bit blind. So I'd appreciate the help in reading your posts.
For anyone coming here for personal psychic advice: This is a forum for teaching people how to use their own abilities and make their own choices. As moderators and members alike, don't ask for, or give, relationship, legal, or medical advice.
5. Last rule: if you have come here thinking you have a [glow=red,2,300]MISSION FROM GOD[/glow] go away. This is something I call the Supernatural Hero Syndrome. If you feel you are meant to save the world from anything, please save your time here, and just go. This is a place for common sense, and if we see any advice being given that is dangerous, misinformative, weird, or in any way not given as common sense advice, it will be gone. Don't worry, we understand there is a pretty broad range of common sense ideas.
This board has been established to give advice most people can understand and use, and if we've learned anything over the many years we've been involved in discussion groups like this, fringe groups unravel - not just themselves, but good discussion groups. Moderate yourself, think about what you're writing and who you're writing to. Be truly sensitive. And we'll all enjoy the board.
